Orthopedic Acupuncture for

Pain and Injury Recovery

Keep doing what your body was built to do —

without pain holding you back.

At Revive + Root, we use an integrative orthopedic approach that treats both the injury and the systems that influence how your body heals.

When pain or injury disrupts how you move, it affects everything.

Many of our patients are active professionals, athletes, dancers, and movement-oriented individuals who suddenly find themselves limited by pain or recurring injuries.

You may be dealing with:

Low back pain

Neck pain

Shoulder pain

Hip pain

Tendonitis

Running injuries

Sports injuries

Repetitive strain injuries

Muscle strains

Overuse injuries

Often patients have already tried physical therapy, chiropractic care, massage, or rest but still feel like something hasn’t fully resolved.

A Different Approach to Orthopedic Care

At Revive + Root, we practice Integrative Orthopedic Care.

Instead of treating only the painful area, we look at the full picture of how your body heals and functions. This allows us to address both the injury itself and the underlying factors that influence recovery, including inflammation, nervous system regulation, and overall health.

This approach helps patients heal more effectively and return to activity with greater confidence.

Your Blueprint To Injury Recovery

We blend acupuncture,  dry needling, and electroacupuncture with diverse manual therapies (e.g., tui na, cupping, gua sha, Graston, myofascial release, massage, and more). This combination fast-tracks injury recovery and enhances performance by optimizing the musculoskeletal and nervous systems, balancing the immune system, reducing stress and anxiety, and improving sleep. This holistic method ensures your body functions at its best.

Treatment is designed to support healing at every stage of recovery.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is orthopedic acupuncture?

Orthopedic Sports and Dance Acupuncture focuses on treating musculoskeletal pain, injuries, and dysfunction. It combines targeted traditional acupuncture with modern orthopedic assessment to address both the root cause and local symptoms.

At Revive+ Root treatment goes beyond needling the area of pain. We evaluate how the body moves as a system by  identifying patterns of tension, compensation and imbalance.

Treatments may include:

  • Acupuncture & dry needling to release tight muscles and trigger points

  • Motor point needling to improve muscle activation and firing patterns.

  •  Fascial techniques to reduce adhesions and restore tissue mobility along kinetic chains

  • Electroacupuncture (neurofunctional acupuncture) to improve neuromuscular function, reduce pain, and support healing

  • Manual therapy and cupping to improve circulation and recovery

What is dry needling?

Dry needling is a modern, therapeutic technique that uses thin, sterile needles to target trigger points—tight, sensitive “knots” in muscles. Dry needling is based on modern anatomical and neurophysiological principles. It’s commonly used to relieve muscle pain, improve mobility, and accelerate recovery from injuries.

At Revive and Root, dry needling is integrated with orthopedic acupuncture to address musculoskeletal pain, tension, and dysfunction. Most people experience improved range of motion and reduced discomfort after this integrative treatment.

Do you offer dry needling?

Yes. Dry needling is offered as part of our orthopedic acupuncture care and is not a standalone service.

Is dry needling the only thing you do?
No. Dry needling is one tool within a comprehensive, root-cause treatment strategy.

Is dry needling the same as acupuncture?
They use similar tools but are applied through different frameworks. At Revive + Root, dry needling is one of several needle techniques that is used within a session  by your licensed acupuncturists within a holistic care model.

I’m only looking for dry needling. Is this a good fit?
Revive + Root may be a good fit if you’re seeking dry needling as part of a thoughtful, whole-body approach. We do not offer isolated dry-needling-only sessions.
