Highly sought among insiders in New York’s Broadway and professional dance communities, Megan Richardson (she/her) is an acupuncturist and an athletic trainer who specializes in manual therapy and functional training. Trained in advanced cosmetic facial acupuncture & microneedling, sports & orthopedic acupuncture, dry needling trigger point therapy, and traditional Chinese medicine. Her dance and sports acupuncture services include manual therapy techniques such as massage and joint mobilization, in addition to dry needling, cupping, gua sha, Graston and essential oil aromatherapy. In addition to serving the dance and athletic community, Megan offers integrative health and cosmetic treatments for the over-extended New Yorker.


As a former dancer, Megan knows the physical and emotional demands of the performing arts profession. For the past 20+ years she has provided backstage coverage to numerous dance companies and Broadway shows and has presented on issues related to athlete's and dancer's health and rehabilitation both nationally and internationally. Megan has served on the Board of Directors of the International Association for Dance Medicine & Science. She has worked at the world renowned NYU Harkness Center for Dance Injuries as a clinician, researcher and administrator and founded their acupuncture program. Megan has had the pleasure of working with companies and performers such as Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Company, Ballet Hispanico, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet, Paul Taylor Dance Company, Momix, Martha Graham Dance Company, SUNY Purchase College, Hamilton, Wicked, The Public Theater, Park Avenue Armory, and many more.

Josette Penzel , DAcCHM, LAc, DiplOM

Josette (she/her) holds a Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. She specializes in sports and orthopedic acupuncture, cosmetic acupuncture, dry needling and trigger point needling and neurofunctional acupuncture. In addition to acupuncture, Josette’s services include herbal medicine prescriptions, tui na massage, gua sha, cupping and moxibustion. Josette loves treating the unique needs of dancers and athletes, but she also prides herself on being a capable and compassionate integrative practitioner who treats everything from insomnia to indigestion in her use of holistic health acupuncture.  


After completing her university studies, Josette moved to Taipei, Taiwan, where she first experienced Eastern medicine as a living breathing practice. She was so inspired by the intention to treat the whole person rather than isolated symptoms that, upon returning to her home state of New York, she decided to pursue it as a career. She is passionate about integrating both Eastern and Western knowledge and treatment approaches to maximize healing. She has had the privilege of completing externships at the Institute for Family Health and the student health clinic at Columbia University as well as volunteering at community outreach events such as Tunnel to Towers. A lifelong lover of dance and movement practices, Josette spends her free time taking dance classes in diverse genres, social dancing, training partner acrobatics and biking around the city.

Chelsea (she/her/they/them) is a licensed massage therapist whose background in dance shapes a practical and movement-focused approach to bodywork. They blend deep tissue, orthopedic sports massage, Shiatsu, Swedish, Thai, and Tui Na techniques to help clients recover, move better, and feel more at ease in their bodies.


With a BFA in Dance Performance from SUNY Purchase College and certifications in prenatal and postpartum massage, Chelsea brings a sharp eye to every session, considering a client's posture, movement patterns, and alignment. Their attentive, collaborative style means they listen closely to your concerns and goals, creating a comfortable, supportive and inclusive space for everyone—including LGBTQ+ clients.


As a professional dancer herself, Chelsea loves working with dancers, athletes, and anyone seeking relief from tension or discomfort. Each session is tailored to your needs, honoring your boundaries, and focused on helping you find new ways to support your well-being.
