# Acupuncture & Microneedling for Fine Lines, Wrinkles & Anti-Aging

Two distinct paths to the same goal — softer lines, firmer tone, and

skin that looks like it's aging well, not fighting it.

Fine lines, crepiness, and loss of facial tone are a natural part of aging, but they don't have to be approached with injectables or invasive procedures. At Revive + Root, we treat fine lines and wrinkles through two distinct, non-invasive paths — facial rejuvenation acupuncture and microneedling — each working through a different mechanism, and often most effective when used together over time.

## Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture vs. Microneedling — What's the Difference?

Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture

Uses ultra-fine needles placed at specific points on the face and body to stimulate local collagen production, improve circulation, and lift and tone the muscles beneath the skin. Because it also incorporates whole-body acupuncture, it addresses the internal factors — stress, sleep, hormones, digestion — that influence how your skin looks and ages, not just the surface. It's often described as a natural, needle-based alternative to Botox: working with the muscle rather than freezing it.

Microneedling

Collagen induction therapy that uses a specialized device to create controlled micro-injuries in the skin itself, triggering the body's wound-healing response and a surge in collagen and elastin production. It tends to produce more visible textural change — smoother skin, diminished fine lines, reduced acne scarring, fewer enlarged pores — because it works directly on the skin's surface layers rather than the underlying muscle.

## Which One Is Right for You?

- If your main concern is fine lines, muscle tone, and an overall lifted, refreshed look — facial rejuvenation acupuncture is usually the better starting point.
- If your main concern is texture, superficial fine lines, acne scarring, enlarged pores, or stretch marks — microneedling tends to deliver more visible results.
- Many patients do both, in sequence or alternating, since the two approaches work on different layers of the skin and support each other well.

We'll talk through your specific goals at your first visit and recommend the path — or combination — that fits.

## What to Expect

Facial rejuvenation acupuncture is typically done weekly for about 10 weeks to see full results, with maintenance visits every 4–8 weeks after that. Microneedling is typically done monthly for about 6 sessions, since the skin needs time to fully regenerate collagen between treatments.
